Air India cancels 3 flights from Kerala


Thursday, May 10, 2012: As a strike by a section of employees of Air India entered its second day on Thursday, some international services of the airline had to be cancelled.
Air India Express cancelled three flights from the Karipur Airport to Gulf today However, the service of Air India Express flights to various destinations from Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi remained unaffected.
Kozhikode Airport continued to be the worst-affected as majority of the flights were cancelled as most of the pilots were flying from the Kozhikode sector. The national career cancelled flight no AI 923 Kozhikode Riyadh, scheduled to be operated at 0315 hrs, IX 389 Kozhikode-Kuwait and AI 963 Kozhikode-Jeddah, the sources said. However, flight no AI 963 Kozhikode-Jeddah, scheduled to take off at 0530 hrs, was expected to be rescheduled and operated tomorrow at 0730 hrs, the sources said.
Air India Express was forced to cancel its flights following a strike by pilots.
