Chandrasekharan murder: Look out circular against 8 accused


KANNUR: The investigation team probing the murder of RMP leader T.P. Chandrasekharan has issued look out circular (LOC) against eight accused to prevent them from leaving the country.


The “confidential” LOC contains details of those accused who are suspected to have direct involvement in the murder. The circular is intended for police forces that ensure protection to international airports, railway stations, and check posts.


The circular which has been issued through e-mails and other police means have in it all the details of the accused including their photographs, identification marks, history of crime committed and the like. The police have not yet publicized the names of the accused except the first and the second, namely Rafeeq and Kodi Suni.


The probe team had sent the photographs of Rafeeq to the security forces at all international airports in the country on the very next day of the incident.


Raids at Party Villages


Meanwhile, the police have strengthened raids at the CPI (M) party villages in Kannur and Kozhikode in search of the accused. Mahi Police came in support of the Kerala Police in its raids at Mahi, Palloor and Chalakkara. Raids are also being conducted at some parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka.
