Isthaq Ali arrested on hacking charges

KOCHI: Isthaq Ali, one of the accused involved in the case involving the theft of Rs 11.14 lakhs from a doctor at the Lakeshore Hospital, Kochi, was brought to the city on Saturday.  Isthaq, who withdrew an amount of Rs 41,000 from the doctor’s account by hacking into his Vodafone connection, was running a travel agency in Delhi. Isthaq was arrested on May 1 and was presented before the the Patiala Court, following which he was transferred to Kerala with a transit warrant. After presenting him before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, he was remanded.
