M.M Mani’s shocking revelations put CPM in tight spot

Saturday, May 26, 2012: CPM Idukki district Secretary M M Mani on Saturday said that CPM has a history of handling political rivals.
He was speaking in public meeting in Thodupuzha.
‘The party eradicated Balu who had killed party worker Ayyappa Das at Peerumedu. We killed those who rebelled against the party at Shanthan Para in Idukki as well. And, that will be done in future too,’ ,he said.
However, Mani refused party workers having any connection with the murder of CPI-M rebel T P Chandrasekharan on May 4.
Mani also hit out at V S Achuthanandan for attending the funeral of CPI-M rebel Chandrasekharan.
He criticised Achuthanandan for not clarifying his part when the media gave manipulated reports of his letter to Prakash Karat ‘demanding recast of Kerala party leadership.’
‘K M Mani and Ramesh Chennithala who call Achuthanandan brave communist are actually leading him out of the party. Those who rebel against the party can never be genuine communists.’ Mani said.
