Police to register case against M.M. Mani


KOCHI: A case will be registered against Idukki district secretary of the CPI (M), M.M. Mani, in the light of the controversial revelations made by him related to certain political murders in the hilly district of Idukki.


The Director General of Prosecution (DGP) T. Asif Ali has given legal advice to the police that there would be no time limit for reopening the political murder cases. It is on the basis of this advice that police started taking procedures to file case against Mani.


Director General of Police Jacob Punnoose handed the report containing the legal advice to Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan as per the instruction of Kerala government.
