VS should uphold his principles, says K.M. Mani

Finance Minister and Kerala Congress (M) chairman K.M. Mani has urged veteran leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) V.S. Achuthanandan to uphold his principles in the alleged battle with the CPI (M) State leadership.


Mani made the remark in the wake of Achuthanandan reportedly conveying to the CPI (M) national leadership his lack of interest in continuing as the Leader of the Opposition.


Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, Mani said Achuthanandan should be brave in his fight to uphold his ideals, adding that the Opposition leader was convinced about the need for fundamental changes in the functioning of the State unit of the party.
